New Orleans Premier Bilingual Magazine

Publisher's Note

Now, more than ever it is important we stick together as a community. It is with the health and wellbeing of our readers in mind that we have made the decision to release May’s issue of VIVA NOLA Magazine in digital form only.

WE ARE STILL HERE! And we have been working hard to maintain our commitment to provide original content to our Greater New Orleans and bilingual communities.

We are proud to report that during this Coronavirus crisis, VIVA NOLA quickly pivoted into creating a live stream of the Louisiana governor’s press conferences with a LIVE translation in Spanish. This resource became a lifeline for many non-English speakers in our community. To go along with the great demand for trustworthy information in Spanish, VIVA NOLA has gone LIVE almost daily, with experts in various subjects and leaders in the community to provide important updates regarding COVID-19 response resources for individuals and businesses. These LIVE interviews are now compiled into VIVA NOLA TV, a weekly television program that airs Tuesdays at 8:30 PM on WLAE-TV. This over-the-air program reaches many homes in the Southeast Louisiana region and helps us reach a much bigger audience than before.

We continue to adapt to the challenges this pandemic has presented, and are willing to meet you where you are, to better help you navigate the changes as we move forward. How can we help you? We are here for you, so do not hesitate to reach me directly and tell me about the needs of your business.

The May issue of VIVA NOLA marks the beginning of year three of our publication. We dedicate this issue to all mothers and highlight those who are also career women, and the many mothers that during this crisis have been wearing the additional teacher hat while they work and teach from home. To all caring mothers, we want to say Happy Mother’s Day!

We also highlight local businesses that have done some interesting pivots to survive and thrive during this time. We have tech information, wellness, and are even launching a new section dedicated to wine!

We appreciate your readership and loyalty.  Let us know how else we can be at your service!
