From Breeze Airways’ inaugural international route to Cancún, Mexico, and new daily services and new connections to major hubs, the Crescent City is more connected than ever. Breeze Airways Goes International & Adds Domestic Options
Breeze took big steps:
- It secured U.S. Flag Carrier certification, allowing it to fly internationally.
- Starting February 7, 2026, Breeze will launch weekly nonstop flights between New Orleans and Cancún, Mexico, pending final government approvals.
- Also announced: Breeze will begin daily nonstop service from MSY to Las Vegas (LAS) and Los Angeles (LAX) in Feb. 2026.
These expansions bolster both the domestic and international options from New Orleans, offering more choices for leisure travelers and vacationers.

Frontier’s Expanding Network
Frontier Airlines recently revealed four new nonstop routes from MSY, beginning in February 2026, connecting New Orleans directly to major hubs:
- Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) – starts Feb. 12, 2026
- Detroit Metropolitan (DTW) – Feb. 12, 2026
- Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) – Feb. 13, 2026
- Houston Intercontinental (IAH) – Feb. 13, 2026
These new routes provide direct access between New Orleans and key cities in the Mid‑Atlantic, Midwest, Texas, and the business hubs of the South.
JetBlue
- JetBlue announced a return of service from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to New Orleans (MSY) starting November 1, 2025, with two daily frequencies.
