How old were you when you came to the U.S.?
I arrived in New Orleans in 1984 when I was 8 yrs old. It was 40 yrs ago when we left Nicaragua!
Where did you work before joining LCI Workers’ Comp?
I have spent 15 years working as a medical executive.
What do you like the most about your current position at LCI?
Being able to help our Spanish speaking members in our native tongue is my favorite part of my job. It gives our members peace and trust at their personal level.

Why is the Caminos program so special to you?
I am excited and very humble to be part of this great new adventure. I have never worked with a company that developed a program just to give back to our Hispanic community.
What are your hobbies, your favorite Latin meal, and who makes it?
I enjoy Latin dance at home as a form of exercise. My favorite dish is carne asada and gallo pinto (red beans and rice) and I am the one that cooks (I love to cook).
What is a lesson a family relative taught you?
My great-grandmother Mariana was the person I looked up to and admired. I saw how she treated people with dignity, humility, empathy, and kindness. By her example is how my character and integrity developed and made me the person I am today.
